Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which cookies Birthday Compatibility uses, and how you can manage or disable them.

Last updated: April 13, 2026

The Short Version

Our calculators do not use cookies at all. Your birth dates and results are never stored anywhere. We may use basic analytics cookies to understand how people find and use the site. We do not currently display advertising or use advertising cookies. You can disable all cookies through your browser settings and our tools will still work normally.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) through your web browser when you visit them. They serve various purposes including remembering your preferences, understanding how you use a website, and in some cases delivering targeted advertising. Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device until they expire or you delete them) or "session" cookies (deleted automatically when you close your browser).

Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting ("first party cookies") or by third party services that the website uses, such as analytics or advertising platforms ("third party cookies").

2. Cookies Used on This Website

Here is a transparent breakdown of every category of cookie that may be present on Birthday Compatibility, along with its purpose and current status.

3. Our Calculators Do Not Use Cookies

This is worth emphasizing on its own. Our birthday compatibility calculator and life path number calculator do not use cookies of any kind. They do not store your birth dates, names, or results in cookies, in local storage, in session storage, or anywhere else on your device. All calculations happen in your browser's active memory and are gone the moment you close or refresh the page.

This is a deliberate design choice. We built our tools so that your personal data never persists beyond the moment you are actively using the calculator. There is nothing to clear, nothing to delete, and nothing for us to access.

In practical terms: If you run a compatibility reading and then close the tab, the birth dates you entered, the names you typed, and the results you received are permanently gone. They cannot be recovered by you, by us, or by anyone else.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You have full control over cookies through your browser settings. You can block all cookies, delete existing cookies, or configure your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set so you can decide whether to accept it on a case by case basis.

Here is how to manage cookies in the most commonly used browsers.

Google Chrome

Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Other Site Data. From here you can block third party cookies, clear cookies on exit, or see and remove specific cookies.

Mozilla Firefox

Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data. Firefox also offers Enhanced Tracking Protection which blocks many third party cookies by default.

Apple Safari

Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data. Safari blocks cross site tracking cookies by default through Intelligent Tracking Prevention.

Microsoft Edge

Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions → Manage and Delete Cookies and Site Data. Edge offers three tracking prevention levels: Basic, Balanced, and Strict.

Safari on iPhone and iPad

Settings → Safari → Privacy and Security. Toggle "Block All Cookies" or "Prevent Cross Site Tracking" based on your preference.

Chrome on Android

Chrome app → Settings → Site Settings → Cookies. Choose to allow, block, or clear cookies from this menu.

Please note that disabling all cookies may affect the functionality of some websites you visit. However, our calculators and content pages will continue to function normally without any cookies enabled because they do not depend on cookies to operate.

Opting Out of Google Analytics

If you prefer not to have your visit recorded by Google Analytics, you have two options. First, you can install the official Google Analytics Opt Out Browser Add On, which is available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Second, you can block third party cookies in your browser settings, which will prevent most analytics cookies from being set.

5. Third Party Cookies

The only third party cookies that may be present on this website are from Google Analytics, as described above. We do not embed social media widgets, advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or any other third party services that set cookies on your device.

If we integrate any new third party service in the future that uses cookies, we will update this policy before activating the integration and will clearly identify the service, the cookies it sets, their purpose, and how to opt out.

6. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites, indicating that the user does not want to be tracked. There is currently no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. However, we respect the intent behind Do Not Track. If you have DNT enabled and also block third party cookies, no analytics data about your visit will be collected by Google Analytics on this site.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy whenever there is a meaningful change to how we use cookies. This includes adding new cookie categories, integrating new third party services, or changing the purpose of existing cookies. When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the website.

We encourage you to review this page periodically, especially if you are concerned about how cookies are used on the websites you visit.
